Identify Federal, State and local legislation that will impact sustainability at Rossmoor, Contra Costa, and California. Lobby legislators to support good legislation or block bad legislation.

To support the widespread adoption of plant-rich diets and reduced food waste as key solutions to reduce greenhouse gases and address the climate crisis.

To promote the use of solar energy at Rossmoor by encouraging the installation of rooftop solar

To promote recycling and composting at Rossmoor and – most important – to minimize our use of plastics

To promote the health and diversity of trees especially here at Rossmoor

To mobilize SR members, other Rossmoorians, and beyond to engage actively and strategically in maximizing good environmental outcomes from local, state, and Federal elections
