Gasoline-powered generators

Portable gasoline-powered generators, like the one pictured to the left, are manufactured by companies such as Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Generac, and Westinghouse. These devices are capable of generating as much or more power than battery-powered Portable Power Stations, and, because they are powered by gasoline, can run as long as you have gasoline to refill them.

However, because they emit deadly carbon monoxide, they MUST NOT be used indoors.

Also, because gasoline is explosively flammable, they constitute a substantial fire danger, not a good idea when wildfires are already burning in the neighborhood.

Finally, they are noisy and thus totally unsuitable for a closely-spaced community like Rossmoor.
